The rapper’s last appearance took place in 2013 when he and the late-night host famously squashed their beef.
Kanye West will make a surprise appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
Host Jimmy Kimmel made the announcement Tuesday on Twitter. West’s last appearance on the lat-night talk show came in October 2013, in what was billed as an attempt to defuse a simmering social media feud between the two stars.
The squabble began when West took exception to a Kimmel sketch spoofing the rapper’s infamous BBC interview in which he made various outlandish claims and described himself as “the No. 1 rock star on the planet.”
After the sketch aired, West called Kimmel a “manipulative media motherfucker” and created the hashtag #AllDisrespectToJimmyKimmel.
Kimmel amped up the feud in follow-up monologues and said he “always wanted to be in a rap feud.” The beef ended when West appeared as a guest on the show.
West’s appearance on the show Thursday follows an appearance by his wife Kim Kardashian West last Friday.
